Amy’s Way: The Beginning of Change

We’re reintroducing ourselves with a renewed mission—to accomplish more, reach further, and give those seeking a second chance the support they deserve.

As many of you know, we do this for Amy—our daughter, our sister, our friend. Through her memory, we see the faces of others who need help: someone else’s daughter, son, sibling, or friend. That’s why we remain committed to advocating for addiction awareness and making recovery more accessible.

Making an Impact in 2025

This year, we’re going bigger and better, turning our mission into action. Here’s what’s coming up:

🧥 Clothing Drive (Okaloosa County) – Now through April 30th We’re collecting donations to help those in need. Gently used clothing, shoes, and coats are all welcome! If you’d like to contribute or help with collection efforts, we’d love your support.

🏃 5K Fundraiser (Lackawanna County) – September
Lace up your running shoes! This event will bring the community together to raise awareness and funds for addiction recovery. More details on sign-ups and scheduling will be announced soon.

🎨 Art Show (Okaloosa County) – November
Creativity meets purpose in this end-of-year event. Local artists will showcase their work, with proceeds benefiting those in recovery. Stay tuned for participation details.

Person of the Month: Celebrating Strength in Sobriety

Recovery is not just about getting sober—it’s about resilience, growth, and rebuilding a life filled with purpose. At Amy’s Way, we believe every step in sobriety is worth celebrating.

Each month, we will highlight an individual who is on their recovery journey. Whether they are newly sober, reaching a milestone, or simply showing incredible determination, we want to recognize their courage and strength.

This feature is about hope, encouragement, and community. By sharing real stories, we hope to inspire others, break the stigma surrounding addiction, and remind those struggling that they are not alone.

Do you know someone who should be featured? Whether it’s yourself, a loved one, or a friend, we’d love to hear their story!

🌟 Celebrating Our Own This Month! 🌟

This month, let’s take a moment to recognize two incredible members of our Amy’s Way family—Daniella and Whitney—not just for their dedication to our mission, but for their own inspiring journeys in sobriety.

🎉 Daniella Carite, Director of Advocacy – 2 years, 3 months sober

🎉 Whitney,
Secretary & Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) – 4 years, 3 months sober
